Human Nature

2008

Human Nature revolves around fundamental questions: what is the nature of being human? Are we born good or bad, or are such distinctions shaped by education, culture, and social life?

The exhibition brings together photographic works and installations that explore the complexity and strangeness of human behavior. Through new contributions to the ongoing series Explaining the World to a Child, alongside other works, the exhibition examines how nature and culture unfold within a world made by humans. The works introduce sharp interruptions into familiar ideas about ourselves and the world we inhabit.
